Carver Pump is a leading manufacturer of centrifugal pumps in Naval and Industrial markets. We seek qualified candidates to fill the following position(s) in a dynamic high mix/low volume, lean manufacturing environment:



Carver Pump is seeking a CNC Machinist Intern.

Shift: 2nd/3rd Shift - train on 1st
Labor Grade: 2.5
Entry Wage: $15.08

Interns will work full time as members of the bargaining unit and take classes outside of working hours. The classes are paid for by Carver Pump. Interns will pursue a manufacturing certificate approved by the company.

Interns will be hired into a non-precision position until receiving an approved degree or certificate. Interns will perform non-precision duties and will train as production allows as they progress through their education.

Interns will receive an additional $1.00 per hour for each 8 credit hours completed with at least a B grade up to $4/hr and 32 credit hours. Interns will receive a percentage of the monthly incentive payment equivalent to the % of hours that are applied to the productivity metric. This increase will be capped at the Apprentice rate ($19.08) until Journeyman qualifications are demonstrated.

The Machinist intern position requires a working knowledge of the following subjects:

     1) Read, understand and follow Production Specifications.
     2) Reading blueprints/headsheets and understand specifications as needed for the position.



Carver Pump is seeking an IT Intern.

Shift: 1st Shift
Entry Wage: $12/hr

Interns will work as many hours as their class schedule allows up to 40 hours per week.

Interns should be pursuing an education in computer science.

Responsibilities will include basic IT work including helpdesk and hardware installations. Depending on the applicant’s skill set, other projects would be assigned as needed.

Availability to travel to Moline, IL location would be beneficial.
