Position Summary:
Test, calibrate, operate, and repair pumps in accordance with mil-spec requirements and customer requests.
FLSA Status: Hourly
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Plan and execute instrument calibration and pump testing following blueprints, technical manuals, and other specifications.
- Set up and operate test equipment to evaluate pump performance and reliability.
- Conduct performance, vibration, balance, and noise level tests as required by specification, and accurately record data.
- Analyze test data using mathematical formulas, and reports results.
- Disassemble and reassemble pumps using hand tools and inspect equipment for defects and required modifications.
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of test apparatus and related equipment.
- Facilitate witness testing sessions, ensuring transparency and adherence to quality standards.
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
Essential Skills:
- Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
- Proficient with inspection, measuring, and test equipment.
- Experience safely handling and operating low-voltage 480VAC electrical equipment, emphasizing adherence to safety protocols.
- Knowledge of test procedures and standards relevant to pump testing.
- Understanding of ISO 9001 quality management procedures.
- Effective communication of technical information.
- A strong foundation in algebra and statistics.
- Proficient personal computer skills including email and Microsoft Office suite.
- Certified to drive a forklift, with a focus on safety and efficiency.
Education/Work Experience:
Associates Degree or equivalent from a two year college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
Relationships:
Reports to Final Processes Manager
This position has no direct reports
This position will work closely with all departments.

Indoor shop/office environment
Physical Abilities:
Moderate physical activity performing somewhat strenuous daily activities of a primarily technical nature.
- Position requires the individual to be on their feet standing, walking and carrying items 2/3 of the time.
- Must be able to occasionally lift or move up to 50lbs.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to reach/handle items, work with fingers, and perceive attributes of objects and materials.
Successful completion of a post-offer/pre-employment drug screen, physical and criminal background check required.
