Position Summary
Since 1938 industry has relied on Carver Pump to supply custom-engineered pumps that maximize efficiency and service life, while minimizing costly downtime. Our pumps serve the country’s critical infrastructure in oil & gas, power, and defense sectors.
As a Regional Sales Manager for our industrial pumps division, you will be the driving force in the eastern region of the United States. You will lead our sales initiatives in the eastern region, aiming to achieve and exceed targets while upholding Carver Pump’s values and standards. This role requires a strategic thinker who can not only manage existing relationships with distributors, OEMs, and end users but also identify and cultivate new opportunities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and nurture relationships with new and existing OEMs.
- Provide comprehensive training to OEMs and distributors.
- Identify and recommend potential channel partners.
- Foster engagement with engineering firms and key stakeholders.
- Address and resolve customer issues effectively.
- Stay current with industry trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies in the pump industry to effectively communicate product features and benefits to customers.
- Contribute to competitive pricing strategies that meet market requirements.
- Prioritize and expedite orders to meet customer needs.
- Analyze sales data to inform strategic and marketing decisions.
- Assist in the quotation process and management of customer inquiries.
- Drive sales growth and profitability in the assigned region.
- Produce quotations with the support of inside sales team
- Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
Qualifications:
- Experience/Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 3-5 years of industry experience related to rotating industrial equipment.
- Knowledge of construction and performance of centrifugal pumps.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Public speaking skills
- Proficient computer skills, including MS Office, Adobe Acrobat, Outlook, and SharePoint
- Understanding of financial concepts relating to cost, price, and profit
- Bachelor’s or associate degree in technical field.
- 3+ years in sales distribution management
Background Requirements
- Experience/Education: Bachelor’s degree in a technical field. 3+ years or sales or customer service experience preferred.
Relationships
- Reports to Sales Manager.
- This position has no direct reports.
Physical/Environmental Conditions
- Various office and worksite environments.
- Position is based in the Florida, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Virginia, Maryland, Delaware, Pennsylvania or surrounding states.
- 30-50% travel.
