Caustic solution transfer

Medium duty end suction and centrifugal pumps for chemical processing and refining applications.

Caustic solution is an alkali solution used in the neutralisation phase of the refining process. Caustic soda is commonly applied as a cleaning agent to remove sulfurs, acids, and proteins from crude oils and other substances. At the end of the neutralization phase, caustic solutions must be skimmed away from the refined oil. Used caustics are known as spent caustics, which are toxic in nature and must be disposed of accordingly.
