Fire fighting systems are comprised of many working parts: a main water storage tank, a high-efficiency pump system, a web of sprinklers, and hydrants. Depending on the industry and application, pipes may be set up with deluge nozzles or traditional sprinklers. Nozzle systems are implemented when targeted water delivery is necessary. With sprinkler heads that can be aimed, nozzle systems can deliver direct fire suppression. More commonly installed, traditional sprinkler systems, or deluge systems, are designed to maximize water distribution and surface coverage.
